Jovannie Maraat – Graphic Designer

Hello, I’m Jovannie Jed A. Maraat.

I was born in November, my father was an accountant and my mother was a saleswoman. I have 4 siblings which include 2 older sisters, 1 older brother and 1 younger brother.

Moving forward, in 2019 I graduated as a senior high school student with the strand of STEM from Cebu Institute of Technology. Due to budget issues, my parents and my older sister could not afford to send me to college for a course to become an architect. Because I believe that I am an artistic person I pursued Visual Graphic Design NC III TESDA Certification at the International Institute of Technology and Management Cebu.

I’m into 3d modelling, digital art, traditional illustration, and graphic design. I’ve fine-tuned each one of these skills, but I figure that I’m more interested in 3d modelling and graphic design. I chose 3d modelling as one of my favourite skills because it’s hard and it made me want to challenge myself more. I made a 3d model of an anime character and I was proud of my work. I also chose graphic design as another favourite skill because it’s fun, allows me to be creative and I believe there are no limits when it comes to design.

My ultimate goal in life is to become a master artist and a master designer so that I can learn all different skills of art and design and that open me up to a range of art careers. I also crave to make my own comics or manga and to spend time on the hobbies that interest me.

This is the story of my life, and while it is short, it will continue to grow throughout the years.
