Julie Ann Condesa – Social Media Manager, Virtual Assistant
I am Julie Ann Condesa, you can call me Julie. 28 years of age from the Philippines. I graduated from Tagum Doctors College with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy in 2017. In the same year, I passed the board exam and became a Registered Pharmacist (September 2017) which God wanted me to be. After years of hardship, study, and review this was my biggest achievement so far.
That year was full of blessings. We went to my father to inform him I passed the board to show respect as a father (we are a broken family). While I’m still on vacation, my colleague who worked in the hospital where I used to work (OJT-Internship) contacted me to inform me that her Chief Pharmacist told her that they want me to work with them not as an intern but as a Pharmacist. I’m on the verge of doubting not accepting since I recently passed the exam. But my mother told me, “Don’t refuse the first opportunity, just go.”
In October 2017, I officially worked as a Hospital Pharmacist, they welcomed me with open arms. This job taught me how to multitask efficiently – this is the most important skill in working set-up, working under less supervision, and decision-making at the same time being a proactive person. The hospital has already adapted to the digital world where all requests was done via a computer system from admission to outpatient, nursing requests, and E-prescription.
As a computer-savvy, it wasn’t hard for me to use their system since I grew up using computers during the 2020s. A few months later, I observed our Chief Pharmacist leaving me alone with our teller to do the job, and I became one of her reliable and trusted people on her behalf. Fast forward to December 2018, I decided to resign due to transportation. Though it’s hard, I need to cause I am living paycheck to paycheck for fewer expenses. I did not expect the HR Head to offer me not to resign but to go on vacation for 2 or 3 months. I am very overwhelmed by the fact that the company believes in me, and trusts me.
In August 2019 , I worked as a Community Pharmacist for 5 years new environment and with new co-workers. This was the job where it showed my computer skills, Stock Ordering, Data entry, and administrative tasks but not limited to Email Management, Microsoft Excel, Documenting, and reports. These are some of my works during my community. Also, through this, I got interested in the business world where the first time I used KPIs, SMART GOAL, Planning, Inventory Management, and so on.
Outside of work, I graphic some designs using Canva –recently they awarded me to accomplish 200 designs, just basic video editing by CapCut or Clipchamp. It widened my interest to work either Virtual assistant or in Social Media.
My goal is to grow professionally, continuously improve my skills and hopefully show more of what I have.
