Lorena Masanguid – Customer Service, Sales

lorena-mae-masanguid-vaI am Lorena Mae J. Masanguid. I am Married with a 7 yr old child. My husband is working as a Uniformed Personnel in BJMP (Jail Officer).

I graduated college with a Bachelors Degree Major in Mass Communication. I can say I had a lot of work experiences in different fields. My first job was a Hotel Receptionist. It was from Dec 2011 to May 2012. My duties and responsibilities there were to always attend to our customers needs, check our data’s, confirm bookings via email or phone calls. I left the job because I wanted to work in a Bank.

Which happened, fortunately, my second job was in a Bank (EastWest Bank) from Aug 2012 to July 2017. I have been exposed into two different Job descriptions. First, I was a Bank Teller. My responsibilities as a Bank Teller were to deal with cold cash, transacts cash related concerns of the clients and to balance my day to day transactions and cash. After being a Bank Teller, I was later on transferred as a New Accounts. I was tasked to open new accounts and to to attend to some account inquiries. I also needed to organize files and account them too. It was fun and I was very thankful I was able to experience working in the bank, but I needed to quit work because that was the time when my son started schooling and I had to look after him.

I rested for a few months before finding my third job which was an Online ESL Teacher. That was just a part time job and it’s office-based. I worked there from Aug 2017 to Oct 2019. I can say I really enjoyed working there. I needed to teach basic English to kids ages from 2 – 15 years old. Preparing the tools and the lesson was part of my responsibilities too.

lorena-mae-masanguid-vaUnfortunately, natural disasters hit our City. A series of earthquakes happened from late 2018 to 2019. Our office was situated on the 15th floor and running from 15th floor down wasn’t easy. I decided to resign for my own safety. I was saddened because I’ve always loved and enjoyed the job and teaching kids is one of the things that I love to do, but I just can’t risk my life because I still have a son waiting for me to come home every night.

The most recent job I had was with The Influencer Project. I was hired to be a Campaign Manager and since they have seen potential in me, they transferred me to be a Sales Assistant. I worked there from Jan 2020 to May 2021. It was a home-based job and my tasks include managing their calendars, keeping the data’s updated and putting client information using Active Campaign, and tracking their bookings using spreadsheets. I was also tasked to transcribe their calls and nudge the Sales people on their pending. Email Marketing was also assigned to me using Frontapp which I really enjoyed the most. It just came to a point that due to the pandemic, our company struggled and they needed to reduce the work force. I was terminated by redundancy.

I believe my work experience have taught me how to build strong relationships with all the members of the team and most especially with our clients.

If you’d grant me the opportunity, I would enjoy discussing how I could bring the same level of quality and dedication to work with you.
