Lorielyn Moncada – Senior Mortgage Loan Processor, Administrative Assistant
Hi, I am Lorielyn La Rosa Moncada, you can call me Lyn. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration majoring in Business Economics at Central Luzon State University. I started working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic way back in 2020. With the world crumbling on everyone’s feet, working from home during those times was the only thing that kept me sane. I never imagined that I would love working from home cause I was so used to an office setting with lots of peop le that I could talk to.
I started working as a marketing associate for a US-based account right after I graduated from university. I dealt with loan processors and underwriters who were based in America. Working in a US-based account is hard not because of the workload but because of the time difference. Going to work at night and trying my best to sleep during the day took a heavy toll on my health. After a year of working with them, I decided to leave and look for a morning job. I was so lucky cause I was offered an opportunity to work in an Australian-based mortgage account. Finally, I can work during the day and sleep soundly at night!
It only took me some time to adapt to my new role, it was not hard for me to get used to the fact that all my teammates were based in Australia. Without anyone by my side to check my work, I became so resourceful and detail-oriented. It was 6 months of working with my client and the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and that was when we transitioned to working remotely. Working from home increased my productivity, my outputs were outstanding cause I always make sure that I am fully committed to everything I do. I built my experience through client support, back-end maintenance of calendars and inboxes, data entry, and inbound and outbound calls for application tracking, training, reporting and scheduling. I started as a simple admin assistant and loan processor to now leading a loan processing team. I work well during the times that I’m alone but I can also say that I love teaching and sharing my knowledge with other people.
I know that I still have a lot to learn and I am open to learning new skills to better myself and my career. Over the years, I have found working from very home fulfilling. It helped me achieve the work-life balance that I was looking for.
