Menerva Bulanadi – Virtual Assistant, Admin/Transport Coordinator
For the past nine years, I have found a perfect balance between my passion for being a General virtual assistant and my love for my two daughters. It all started when I made the decision to transition from a traditional office job to remote work after I gave birth to my first child. The flexibility of working from home allowed me to not only pursue my career but also be there for the milestones of my daughters’ lives.
As a General Virtual Assistant, I took pride in my ability to juggle a wide variety of tasks managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling customer inquiries, and organising data while ensuring every detail was in place. My clients appreciated my proactive approach and knack for anticipating needs before they were even expressed. Over the years, I built strong relationships with clients and colleagues, earning a reputation for being reliable, efficient, and always prepared.
But the true joy of my work wasn’t just in the tasks I completed, it was the balance it gave. In between calls and project deadlines, I would take a break to help my daughters with homework, prepare their favourite meals, and be present for bedtime stories. I Love watching them grow.
My days were filled with a steady rhythm morning emails and tasks before breakfast, checking in on the girl during their school day, and then diving into more focused work once they were busy with activities or playtime. Every challenge, whether a tight deadline or a project that required extra effort, was worth it because it meant I could be there for my daughters without missing a beat.
Though the work could be demanding at times, I found fulfilment in knowing that I was providing for my family while also being there for them in ways many others couldn’t. My role as a General virtual assistant gave me the freedom to blend work with motherhood, and I loved it knowing that this balance was exactly what I had worked so hard to achieve.
