Petchie Colina – Customer Service Representative

Petchie-Colina-vaFrom a girl who spent all her life living in the province to a woman who is conquering the Queen City of the South – Cebu City, Philippines!

Hello! My Name is Petchie Merie Colina. I go by Peach and No! I don’t live in Georgia. – Most people would ask me that. 😊 I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education major in General Education last 2013. I obtained my Professional Teacher license in that same year. I tried pursuing teaching but, I realize that it is not really for me. So, to cut the story short I went here to Cebu City trying my luck to become a BPO Employee.

So fast forward, I already have six years of experience in the BPO industry where most of that experience was under hospitality accounts. My two longest experiences would be first, I was once a customer service representative of an airline account that’s United Airlines, one of the biggest airlines in the US. Wherein what we do is help our customers book or change their flights. Later on, in that same company, I was promoted as an assistant trainer where my task would be to train my colleagues about tools update and new processes. And If I may add, a very fun job because I love talking to people and sharing and learning new inputs.

Second, I became a customer service ambassador in an Airbnb account. We handle rental properties and talk to the host and the guest and help them resolve issues that would come up during the stay. I will admit that it was a tough job to have because I belong on the highest tier and we are bound to resolve complex issues. Issues that you wouldn’t think would exist. It would require thinking outside the box. Coming with a solution that you would expect to resolve the issue. A very challenging job, but who doesn’t want a challenge, anyway? It was also a very rewarding job, most especially if you resolve a very complex issue that no one will accept. A well deserve Carbs for dinner! 🙂

Petchie-Colina-vaNext in line is being a Virtual Assistant, which I wouldn’t discover if not because of the pandemic. I am new to this Virtual Assistant World – as I call it. I was so lucky I had my first ever hire, given that I am new to this. I was exposed to different tools such as Salesforce, olark, Trello, ring central, and Zoho Cliq. I do work as an admin which I do admin tasks using these tools at the same time interact with possible leads that I need to either chat or send an email on.

Now, enough about my experience. I want to tell you something about myself. I am a very competitive person that is why I always put up my virtual assistant game face on because I know there is so much more to learn. I also, easily adapt and adjust to changes. One major thing that I can say that helped me with my career is to never be afraid to ask questions. If there is something I don’t understand or need to be cleared up, you can see me raising my hands. I think that is the best way to learn and understand things, which makes you more efficient in doing your tasks. One, fun fact about me, is I love going to the beach but I don’t know how to swim. (hopefully, someday).

I hope you like it and looking forward to hearing from you soon bearing the news to join your awesome team! Thank you!
