Ryan Medrozo – Recruitment Consultant

ryan-medrozo-vaHi, my name is Ryan, however, I prefer to be called Rainne.

I am a registered nurse by profession and when I started to work, I first landed a job as a company nurse and throughout most of my working career as well. I have a very interesting working experience since I was also into sales. I worked part time as Property Specialist in a Real Estate company while doing Private Duty Nursing as my full time and then worked as Business Development Specialist for a non-life insurance company in which I travel to several places to promote our travel insurance.

Until the highlight in my work career started. I started to work in the Human Resources and from there on until now, it has been more than 5 years now that I have been in the HR industry. I must say I have learned so much in the industry. I have worked for both in manufacturing and in the Business Process Outsourcing industry. I have handled the different facets of HR, I worked with passion being in the HR industry, I have enjoyed my experience and applied them in my daily life.

I also have managed a team previously being an HR Supervisor, my leadership style is plain and simple, I provide my staff the independence in doing their task, I trust my people and by doing that it creates balance and respect to your team and to your colleagues. I always believe in open communication as a great means of teamwork.

ryan-medrozo-vaIn HR, there are a lot of great things to learn and become your expertise and I enjoyed handling Employee Relations where you get the chance to be a change agent, in this facet you become the advisor wherein you coach and advise employees and line managers about HR policies and at the same time, in this facet you also handle grievance and discipline. This is one of the best facets of HR which I enjoyed the most since I am a people person. I love to engage and engage in conversation; I also love the idea that you also assist and advise people because it gives you the opportunity to help them understand and somehow help them see a good change in their work and working relationship with their colleagues.

I also have been a recruiter and most recently I became a Recruitment Consultant, it was also first remote job during the pandemic when everyone of us was hit hard, I lost my office job then and shifted to work-from-home set up and was lucky to have landed a job in Recruitment. Being a recruitment consultant, I was tasked to handle the APAC & EMEA region, it was my first offshore recruiting experience.
I must say, it is such a gratifying experience having been exposed to different cultures and of its diversity. I get the chance not to just interview but also to get to know a little part of their culture and diversity. It was indeed a great experience where you also must adjust to different time zones and get to talk to people in different countries and somehow help them change their lives during the pandemic.

All I want is to land a job t and enjoy the perks of working in the freelancing industry where it constantly evolves.
