Shaira May Gacuya – Project Management, Customer Service

I am Shaira May Gacuya, just call me Shaira. I would describe myself as an industrious hard-working employee. I’m a positive person who always embraces change. I’m looking to expand and develop my skills as I believe I have the drive and interest to excel in it.

I have been working as a Social Media Manager for 2 years when I was still in Cambodia. I really loved my job and enjoyed working with other foreigners. The flow of our work in the marketing department was really good since there was a collaboration from other teams and departments to ensure that we are providing good and quality services to our customers. But due to some personal matters, I needed to go back here to the Philippines. It was really sad and hard to let go of everything I had in Cambodia.

It was an urgent matter, so I really had no choice but to resign and come back here to the Philippines. And now I am looking for a position where I can contribute positively and grow professionally. I am prepared to become an immediate team player within your work environment in a healthy manner. I am also willing to be trained if the company requires me to do so.

For me to be able to expand and develop my skills I finished a Freelancing Course which mainly focuses on Social Media Management, SEO Basics, Simple Website Creation, Optimisation, and Management, Facebook Ads, YouTube Optimisation, and Basic Email Marketing.

Outside of work, I keep myself fit and active in learning new things. Something I am good at is actually cooking. I really love to cook and if you love doing something you will be really good at it. When I also have a lot of free time, I play online games with my friends. This keeps me enjoying my free time and it also relaxes me.

There are actually a lot of things or goals in life that I really want to achieve, as much as I want to do it one time I know that it will be very hard for me. So, it will be easier if I will just have to take everything step by step. One step at a time for a better result.

I have always believed in the saying “Everything happens for a reason”, when something wasn’t achieved or something was taken from you then there will be greater things in exchange. That’s why I always believe that no matter what happens to me there will always be a reason for it.
