Shalemar Cadayday – Healthcare and Sales Advisor, Customer Service Associate
Hi, I am Shalemar Cadayday, you can call me Shawie. I am the breadwinner and the middle child. As a working student at Negros Oriental State University, I earned a degree in business administration. Due to financial difficulties with my family, I first obtained employment before deciding to pursue my college degree. My top goal is to land a respectable career after graduation.
I began working in a salon as a front desk, secretary and assistant. And I also worked as a freelancer at Remotask. By working on a home-based project I was able to finish my studies. Since I’ve never worked remotely before, it’s challenging at first. There are many obstacles to overcome and a lot of adjusting to a new environment. But because it’s home-based, I decided to take the risk and work. Being able to collaborate with others through online makes me very happy. Although I had to adjust to a new setting, I was able to figure it out quickly. I received recommendations on what I should focus on and how the team needs to be improved. I can multitask inside the organisation and pick things up quickly. I want to create a positive work culture for the team, I find it rewarding to share my knowledge with my colleagues. I am an exceptional freelancer because I work hard, have a distinct set of abilities and knowledge, goal-oriented and resourceful.
I made the decision to try something different after working remotely. I entered the BPO industry. It’s different now. I work as a sales advisor for healthcare accounts and I was able to assist customers/clients with their needs, responding to their inquiries, and assisting them in modifying information in their accounts. Over the years that I’ve worked with, a positive attitude, constantly providing your best effort, and taking responsibility for your job in all manner are all crucial characteristics of success. Being aware of the company’s culture and surroundings. As long as you understand, ask when necessary, and take responsibility for your actions, no situation is too big for you to take. Nothing is possible if you don’t put in the necessary effort.
Despite the fact that working from home differs greatly from an office, I am confident that this setting is the most beneficial for my family and me. In addition to providing for my family, I think that one of the most valuable things I can provide them is my time, which I can do by working from home. I hope to gain new abilities and knowledge that I can use in both my professional and personal life.
