Sofia Mabida – General Virtual Assistant, Customer Service Representative

Hello, I’m Sofia. I am the third out of four siblings. I enjoy watching movies and reading books a lot since they truly improve my communication skills. My dream job would be to work as a virtual assistant, always. But I had to accumulate money before I could buy my own equipment. When the pandemic struck and TikTok was at its peak, I became fascinated by virtual assistants. Since I lacked the necessary tools at the time, I watched videos online that explained how to become one and had a strong desire to work as one. The concept of a win-win situation intrigued me. Not that you can remotely assist the client, but you will also have more time to spend with your family and enjoy life while earning money. Additionally, you won’t have to deal with traffic, which is a major disadvantage in Manila. Imagine being able to relax after work instead of having to deal with the traffic; one thing I detest about working on-site is having to get ready two hours in advance in order to avoid being late and to catch the bus or jeep.

My goal is to become a successful virtual assistant so that I can pamper my mother with the best because she truly deserves it. Over her life, my mother experienced many types of abuse. No mother is perfect, but she tries to be kind to everyone every day. She believes that life is too short to hold resentment towards anyone and that showing compassion does not have to cost anything. She raised us by herself, and we grew up strong because we have a strong mother. I admire her for being so tough and resilient. She is very lovely and embodies unconditional love, which is why I would always prefer to have her as my mother. One thing about her that I know for sure is that she will do everything to ensure our happiness, even at the expense of her own health and well-being. She loved us so much that she would give us the food she was going to eat without thinking twice.
