Stephen Rian Ganalon – Technical Representative

stephen-ganalon-vaHi, good day. My name is Stephen Rian Ganalon. I’m 22 years old and residing in Davao City, Philippines. I’m the oldest out of 4. I finished grade 12 or senior high school with the Humanities and Social Sciences strand. I am a basketball varsity player, and the school name is Stratford International School. Being a varsity player, one of the biggest achievements I have is that I represented our city in a regional games where we finished with a silver medal.

After graduating, I stopped for a while due to our family’s financial incapability to survive on a daily basis. I worked on a couple of jobs. I became a griller and a cook at a restaurant managed by our aunt. I learned a variety of skills such as slicing the chicken into 12 different pieces and mastering the right mixtures of ingredients for a good taste.

Then, I planned to go back to school. I processed the papers, enrolled at the school, and still had one month before classes started, so I continued to work, moving forward. School had started and I completed one year in college. My course was Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, but I wasn’t able to finish college as seeking a job was the most important thing at that time.

I remember it was mid-pandemic where life became hard. We were poor and having a decent meal 3 times a day was a struggle. Our family needed someone to step up and sacrifice, so it was me because my dad and mom were not capable of doing any decent jobs. I was a working student since I was 14, studying and helping with our finances simultaneously.

During online classes, it was hard to balance, so I chose to stop. I worked in a couple of different jobs to survive. I worked as a farmer planting and harvesting many kinds of plants, fruits, and vegetables. I worked as a labourer for a construction company assigned to a subdivision project.

Luckily, an opportunity arose. I was referred to work at a financial company where I stayed for a year and 4 months. The salary was good, and we could survive. However, the contract was over, and my siblings needed to go to college, so our expenses increased. I decided to travel 5 hours away and work at a BPO company. It was one of the most challenging moments of my life. The account I belonged to was the hardest account they had on the site, and our trainer was known as a notorious trainer who failed many aspiring agents. I worked hard, sweating blood just to pass and be endorsed.

Moving forward, I became one of their agents and stayed for two years, becoming one of the sales and technical support for all the new agents. I taught them the process, things they needed to remember, dos and don’ts. Everything was going well, yet people say that happy things sometimes have better endings, and it’s true. The contract with the company and account ended, and the agents needed to look for other opportunities.

At the right moment, I saw a certain post about your company. In that exact moment, I processed this application with hopes to be selected as part of your team. I may not have experience in this field, but I am certain that I have the courage, spirit, and hope to learn the ways of your company. I am a hardworking person who loves to face new challenges as it gives me the feeling of thrill.

Again, my name is Stephen Rian Ganalon, hoping to be selected as one of your employees. Thank you.
