Timothy Astrero – Customer Service Representative

My name is Timothy Daniel Astrero, 23 years old and I live in Makati City.

I’m currently working as a virtual assistant in an accounting firm in San Antonio, Texas.

When I was a student in Centro Escolar University- Makati, I experienced a lot. I enjoyed being a college student but as time went by, I learned to have fun and not take studies seriously. I am an undergraduate. I almost finish college but due to parties and clubbing’s,  I stopped. My life has been a whirlwind, filled with ups and downs.

So, I looked for a job and got hired as a Customer Service Representative in Inspiro, Makati. That time, I was blinded by money. I became a junkie and it was rock bottom for me. I always rely on my friends but they just laughed at me and shrugged me off. It was painful. People looked at me as an addict. As a person with no future. I even heard someone say “yuck” when I passed by their station. I have nowhere to go.

But the help I was looking for came from the wrong people. I should be looking for help from my parents, my family. Like any other person, I didn’t want to tell them that I was doing it. I didn’t want to hurt them. I just want to give the best of me and I failed. They helped me get through it and thankfully, I managed to overcome it.

I see myself as a failure, a black sheep in the family and I want to prove to them that I’m not. I am someone. I want to be an inspiration to all the kids, teens, or confused people that drugs isn’t the solution to all your problems and there’s always a way out of it.

Life may be hard. But always know that your family is there to protect you and save you.
I am a fighter and a survivor. I want to fight for the rest of my life and be the person they all look up to.

And as a VA, I could reach to all the clients and share with them my experience in life and my experience with the company.
