Alberto Rey Ferrer – Customer Service Representative, Logistics

Hello, I am Alberto Rey Ferrer, you can call me Rey. I studied Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

I am a sports enthusiast. I love basketball, billiards, mixed martial arts, and boxing. It taught me to work ethics, goal setting, teamwork, and how to handle things when they don’t go your way. Sports taught me how to be humble, as I went through periods where I was a starter, scoring points, and winning games and times where I sat on the bench, played terribly, or lost a heartbreaker. Why is that important? Because those are all lessons you need to develop in life to be successful. Life isn’t easy! On top of that, sports naturally develop deep relationships. Many of my best friends, even today, are those I grew up with playing sports in elementary, high school, or college.

Beaches and mountains are my go-to places. Those are great spots for relaxation. Everyone has a place where they go to escape the pressures and the worries of their hectic lives. There are always those places that you can go to, to clear your head and soothe your problems away when you are stressed. It is my ultimate cure for stress. When I’m there, all my worries and obligations are suddenly lifted and I feel calm and free.

I love listening to music especially because of this reason. Music has the power to unite people, make us feel at peace, and make us feel understood; it is something to dance to, bond over, and even listen to when alone. Music is not just a sound, it is its own language and it communicates so much; it is a beautiful thing.

My first job was with AT&T as a customer service. It is a telecommunications company and it lasted for a year since the campaign was dissolved. My previous job was with UPS Freight as a logistics specialist for 7 years. Unfortunately, our department was sold to a different company.

I have eight years of experience in handling phone and email inquiries. I have developed strong skills. Be it handling customer complaints or providing solutions to their problems, I am always willing to go the extra mile. I am a person that gives my best in everything that I do. I like to solve problems, I am self-disciplined, and attentive to details. I learn quickly and can become both a great member of a great team and its leader.

I am open to any type of role since I love challenges. Being out of your comfort zone will show what are you made off. I also want to enhance my skills and gain knowledge.
