Sheryllaine Calimlim – Administrative Assistant, CRM

Hi, I am Sheryllaine Mae Calimlim, you can call me Sheryl. I am a single parent to a lovely 5-year-old daughter. I had my first ever job in the call center industry and I would say that it was my stepping stone toward having a great career. I have always been the kind of person who doesn’t talk a lot and is always shy to make friends or socialise.

Working in the BPO industry helped me gain confidence in speaking English and made me gain a lot of friends with whom I still get in touch today. We often meet up and plan team building not only with them but also with the people I made friends with in my past employment. I feel loved because although I am no longer with the company, they still want me to be part of their meetups and team buildings. I will always be honored and thankful to have worked with them. I will carry all the good learnings and best practices in everything I do. Because of the confidence I gained, I was able to land my dream job which is to be a flight attendant.

But I guess God has a better plan for me. He gave me the best gift ever and that is my daughter. Although life has been really tough raising her alone, God has always provided and given me people that never left me. Now, I am living with someone who looks after us. Someone who treats my daughter as his own. I will always show gratitude to God and thank my partner for loving and taking care of us. My daughter always motivates me to do good and never give up on something. She always reminds me of how strong and independent I am and I guess God gave me a daughter when I was questioning my purpose in life.

I have been working from home ever since I decided to leave my dream job so I can focus on my daughter while earning and still be able to provide for her needs and send her to school as well. Being able to work from home is such a blessing because not everyone gets the chance to. I have gained knowledge and experience over the years of working from home and for me, learning never stops. I am eager to learn more and be able to help clients and businesses grow and achieve their goals.
