Angel Joy De Castro – Appointment Setter, Telemarketer
Good day! I am Angel Joy H. de Castro. I am 22 years old. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English from Batangas State University The National Engineering University – JPLPC Malvar Campus. I was a working student, since 4th year is like a free year.
After my OJT, we only have exams. As a part-time student, it can be tough to balance school and work. You have to manage your time well because you have classes, homework, and a job to juggle. It can be hard to stay focused and have enough energy for everything, especially during busy times like exams. However, dealing with these challenges helps you learn important skills like being organised and multitasking, which can be useful later on.
I have a year of experience doing telemarketing or cold calling, specifically in sales. We make outbound calls and strive to assist homeowners in renovating or remodelling their homes, for example, kitchen remodeling, ADU conversion, bathroom etc. as well as in making their homes more energy efficient. We also offer solar and electrical panels, roofing and landscaping.
Moreover, my main responsibility was to be a sales representative. I schedule consultations between the prospective client, field basic questions and concerns about the products and services we offer, and maintain comprehensive and accurate corporate records, documents, and reports. I am also used to building rapport, keeping a detailed log of calls, including those, that were unanswered, and informing the manager of recurrent product-related complaints that warrant addressing. We give two things – comfort and convenience. We help homeowners to maintain a comfortable environment while being energy-efficient which also helps to lower their monthly electricity bills.
In addition, I learned to overcome my fear of rejection because of my position in my previous company. I also earned the value of persistence and how to communicate with people. I also gained knowledge of some American Cultures because of my sales job. For example, their holidays and I like that most of them are Christians as they spread the words of God even in voicemails.
I do believe that good appointment setters should have excellent communication skills, a persuasive tone—and patience. You should hire me because I combine exceptional organisational skills with a proactive mindset. My ability to efficiently manage schedules, communicate clearly, and build rapport ensures that every appointment is set with precision and professionalism.
