Baby Grace Andagan – Bookkeeping, Accounting

Mabuhay! I’m Baby Grace Andagan, but you can simply call me Grace. I take pride in being a mother to a wonderful 5-year-old boy. My academic journey led me to earn a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration majoring in Management Accounting from the University of the East in Caloocan City, Philippines.

Upon graduating in 2011, I embarked on my career as a Tax Planning Assistant in a distributorship company. In this role, I assisted during external audits, prepared and filed tax forms, and managed other regulatory documents. After a year and a half, I decided to resign to pursue further studies in Accountancy with the goal of becoming a licensed Accountant. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, I was unable to complete the program.

In 2013, I commenced my tenure as an Accounting Assistant at one of the Philippines’ top banks. Over the span of 11 years in the banking industry, I have held various roles, promoted in a supervisory position as a Branch Accountant since 2021. In this capacity, I oversee the branch’s accounting operations, including reviewing journal entries, monitoring accounts receivable/payable, income/expenses, and inventory, ensuring equipment functionality, reviewing and approving teller transactions, maintaining records, providing customer service, generating management reports, and handling other delegated tasks.

Despite my tenure in a stable company with competitive compensation and benefits, I have long envisioned transitioning to remote work. I find the prospect of remote work incredibly fulfilling and transformative. While I anticipate challenges and uncertainties in such a transition, I am confident in my ability to adapt swiftly to the new work environment. I firmly believe that with dedication, no challenge is insurmountable – by understanding, seeking clarification when needed, and taking ownership of tasks. My knack for learning quickly and seamlessly transitioning between responsibilities enables me to excel both independently and within a team. I derive immense satisfaction from sharing my expertise with colleagues, striving to foster a positive work culture.

Though the shift from office to remote work presents its challenges, I am certain that this change will benefit both my professional pursuits and family life. Beyond meeting financial needs, I prioritize spending quality time with my loved ones.

My aspirations for continued professional growth drive me to acquire new skills and knowledge, enriching both my career and personal life. This ongoing journey of self-improvement aims to enhance my contributions to the workplace and facilitate personal development.
With integrity, trustworthiness, and a diligent work ethic, complemented by a results-driven mindset, meticulous attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a diverse skill set, I am confident to excel as a Virtual Assistant. My unwavering commitment to delivering excellence and adaptability to diverse tasks will undoubtedly make me a valuable asset to any team or project.
