Celhyna Raymundo – Customer Service Representative

I am Celhyna Graice A. Raymundo, 36 years of age, from the Philippines. My family and friends call me Yhna (eena) for my nickname. But in my Call Center world, my phone name is Gracie, so my foreign clients can say my name easily.

I studied 2 years of computer programming, 1 year in BS Nursing, and 1 year in BS Dentistry, but I never finished any degree in college. I did not enjoy my high school days due to my early pregnancy and maybe that’s one of the reasons why I didn’t know what I wanted.

I love baking and cooking. At first, it was only a hobby but I wanted to enhance my skills more so I enrolled myself in small classes and attended some workshops and seminars. After a year or so, I was able to use that skill to earn money by selling my homemade specialties online.

I am a single mother. I don’t know what I really wanted way back then until I realised that my kids are growing and need more things that I need to provide for. That’s my motivation to earn money so I can provide for them well.

The BPO industry is one of the fastest growing businesses in the Philippines. They give high pay with generous benefits. Some BPO companies accept undergraduates and non-experienced applicants. You just have to be at your best during the interview and pass all the exams. I’m thankful that I had strong English communication skills during my junior high school years. I tried so hard to get a job in a BPO as a call centre agent. I learned strategies from one interview to another. I was excited and scared since it was my first time to work in a corporate company. A real job where I get guaranteed money every month. I gained friends, unlimited training and new learnings. I enjoyed a lot and stayed for more than 10 years. I worked for various BPO companies where I handled all financial accounts from billings, applications, disputes, upselling, collections and lastly skips tracing.

I experienced 2 miscarriages due to stress, especially the daily commute. I need to travel 2 hours a day to come into the office and another 2.5 hours back home (since its already rush hour). When I was blessed to get pregnant again, my partner suggested that I stop working and he will provide everything. I needed to do it due to my high-risk pregnancy.

It has been 3 years since I last worked and I really miss working. My partner originally refused to allow me to get back to work. However, after explaining the advantage of working from home, He finally agreed and gave his 100% support.

I’m a motivated kind of person. I work with integrity and passion. I am selfless, trustworthy, flexible and enthusiastic.

I may be new in this industry but I am very eager to learn and willing to be trained with minimal supervision. I can use my 10 years of experience in customer service and 4 years of managing skills with our small business. I can work for you full time or even more if needed.
