Clio Anne Andres – Administrative Assistant

clio-anne-andres-vaHi, here’s a little something about me. My name is Clio, and I graduated with a degree in Communication Arts in Manila, Philippines. I grew up with my grandmother who taught me to never give up in life no matter how difficult life gets to you.

Growing up with my grandmother as my role model, I’ve always had a passion for managing and organizing, be it with things around me, plans, or my time. Since high school, I’ve always dreamt of managing and owning a coffee shop, and I won’t stop dreaming about it until I get there.

I took up Communication Arts due to my passion for managing, writing, and production. I use writing to ease my mind on the problems that I’m facing. I write stories and poems based on my life, my feelings, and the life of the people around me. I love learning new things in a classroom, but I love it more when I learn on the field. Production is what I always looked forward to when I was studying. I learned different techniques and skills that could help me enhance what I already have.

During my college years, I developed a new passion and love for photography and video editing. I enjoyed working with my friends on our thesis with an added twist of making a film. I was one of the editors and scriptwriters in our group. I was also the one who organized the schedule of our shoots, along with our director.

clio-anne-andres-vaAfter graduating, I contemplated for a month whether to wait and keep looking for a job that I’m passionate about or to accept the available jobs that were offered to me to help my sister pay bills. I chose the latter.

Working for a job that I’m not so passionate about is a struggle for me, but it made me realize that there’s more to that job than what I expected. Working as a Front Desk Officer for my first job helped me conquer my fears of talking to strangers. It may sound crazy being a graduate of a communication course, but I was so scared of public speeches and talking to strangers. As I’m working for a Japanese company, it made me more responsible for everything I do. I was able to adapt to their culture when it comes to respecting, being on time, and being organized. Working as a Front Desk Officer developed my skills for customer service and making appointments. I learned to handle customer complaints professionally.

Now, I am not afraid to face new challenges, and I am ready for the opportunities that would come within the virtual world. I am ready to grow and gain more knowledge and skills. I am looking forward to working with you.
