Cora Salvador – General Virtual Assistant

cora-salvador-vaHi, I am Cora Salvador, 31 years of age. You can just call me “Cors” for short. I am a mother of one lovely daughter and a wife to a kind husband. My father was a hardworking farmer and a fisherman, but he died when I was 2 years old. That’s why I can say that life wasn’t easy for us. We experienced a lot of hardships in life. I have three elder sisters and one brother. We didn’t give up! We strived hard to stand on our own. When I was 12, I decided to follow my dreams and be independent. I entered The Sisters of Mary School, a school for the poorest of the poor. With hard work and determination, I graduated last 2009. I was thinking if I could still go to college because I knew that my mother could not afford it. But I wanted to pursue my college education, so I am proud to say that “I am a working student and scholar”! I graduated with a Degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science last 2014.

At that time, I didn’t know that Working from Home and Virtual Work exist. I started working in a Production Company as a Quality Assurance just a month after graduation. Something that is far from what I know and what I studied. After a year of working with that company, I resigned because my mother got sick and I needed to go home. It was the year 2016 when I got my second job in a corporate company which is a Financial Institution.

First, I became a Cashier/Teller where our primary responsibilities are to receive and disburse money, reconcile and tally the cash on hand with the books and computer record, maintain books and ledger using best accounting practices, and perform bank transactions and fund transfers.

Second, I became a Branch Head. As a BH, we serve as the main Customer Service Representative, ensure overall customer satisfaction, create and implement strategies to improve productivity and sales performance to achieve the Branch Target, manage employees and lead day-to-day responsibilities, analyze and oversee records, financial reports such as cash flow and branch reports, mentor and lead the team, and acquire new customers.

cora-salvador-vaAnd for the last 4 years of my stay with the same company, I was promoted as Head Office Staff or Technical Training Specialist here, we create training materials, create a monthly calendar, conduct training, and record employee’s data and information to the 201 files, and perform other office staff loads.

January 2023, I decided to quit my corporate job and seek another career or opportunity as a Virtual Assistant. I know that it would not be easy but as a woman who is already married and trying to conceive, I had to make a big decision. So here I am now. Looking and seeking a greater opportunity at home.

I am the kind of person who is highly motivated to increase my knowledge and continue learning. Last February, I finished a Basic Course on becoming a professional virtual assistant. I also took a master class from virtualworkph and was given a certificate for GVA, Virtual Executive Assistant Certification, Social Media Management Certification, and a Certificate for Basic WordPress Certification. I know that I am just starting my dream and for me to achieve my goals and dreams, I have to be excellent with everything.

If you are looking for a quality virtual assistant with a heart, then hire me! Because for me knowledge and skills are easy to acquire, but to have a good character and attitude takes even a century to apply.
