Diana Saputri – General Virtual Assistant

Hello, I am Diana and I am 24 years old. I graduated from senior high school in 2020. And now you might be wondering why I graduated in 2020 while my age is 24 right now. Does it mean I was too old when I graduated from senior high school? And yeah, I have some fight stories behind that so let me tell you something here.

So after I graduated from junior high school in 2014, my parents experienced a collapse in our finances. My parents are farmers and during that time, they had to go through crisis and growth failure that ended my parents in debt. That situation affected my studies because I couldn’t take the next important thing in my life, which was going to a senior high school.

For the first time, I felt like “I don’t have a life expectancy anymore”, my life just crumbled down and I was just questioning lots of things, everything was just black in my eyes. My dad told me, “It is life and I have to fight for it”, and after a lot of deep conversations, I thought “It is my time to make my identity and raise up my ashes”, and so I faced everything that was thrown at me.

I worked as a steward in a small business liner, as a waitress, cashier, and shop assistant. I met a super kind woman when I worked in a uniform shop as a “shop assistant”. She worked as a teacher and we had so much conversation every time she came to our store. She told me she wanted to help me finish high school with a studentship even though it was home schooling. I took that chance and I thought ” With a homeschooling set-up I could keep making money and get education at the same time” That was how I took senior high school in 2017 and graduated in 2020.

But apparently, even with those things I had been going through. My life is still not going easier because getting a better career is still too far for me. Some companies may demand people to have a special degree in their companies, but I think I was born with natural stubbornness and I decided to learn things that some industries may need, even though I don’t have a special degree.

Choosing to be a virtual assistant is a great idea, and I think the administration is something basic that they really need, to be honest, I grew up in an environment that does not speak English and because I have this crazy dream, I learned English just by myself. I also took courses about being a VA (offline/online ).

Why is it a virtual assistant? Because again I want to make money and still have space to do other things. Maybe I could take a degree and be a virtual assistant at the same time. And that is my dream of being a virtual assistant. I know it is still so far for me to be great, but learning consistency is so rare and I do it. I believe in my dream.
