Farhana Ali Camama – General Virtual Assistant

farhana-camama-vaHi, I am Farhana Ali Camama. A fresh graduate and a newly registered nurse. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I started looking for remote jobs back when I was still in my 2nd year of college, though unfortunately, I did not get any jobs back then. I always knew that I would want a remote working environment, as it is one of the ways I can achieve a work-life balance.

Throughout my college years, I managed to explore different tools and learn new skills. With my internship and extracurricular activities, I managed to gain new knowledge and skills. I had my internship back in Senior High School at a technology lab, where we worked as assistants to all the workers in the lab. We learned how to draw a 3D model from them and how to use a 3D printer, laser printer, and other machines in the lab. In my last year of college, we interned at hospitals and school clinics. We served as staff nurses with the guidance of our clinical instructor. Our rotation includes the Delivery room, Operating Room, Medical Ward, Surgical Ward, Hemodialysis Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our work includes welcoming new patients, taking medical histories, administering medications, providing bedside care, documentation, charting, setting up machines, taking vital signs, and assisting in operations.

When I discovered the chance to work remotely after graduation, I started to learn the tools that are needed in the job of being a virtual assistant. Because I do not want to limit my skills as a healthcare virtual farhana-camama-vaassistant, I studied the scope of general virtual assistance. I managed to learn email management, email marketing, transcription, appointment management, and expound on my knowledge of Microsoft Office tools while I was looking for a job. I also learned about social media marketing as additional knowledge in cases where clients need it. In addition, I also discovered that my experience in writing contents would be of great help, as some organizations need their assistants to do it. I believe that with my existing knowledge and skills, being detail-oriented, a fast learner, a hard worker, and adaptable makes me an exceptional Virtual Assistant.

Though remote working might be a disadvantage for fresh graduates like me, I have found that this setup aligns with my professional aspirations and responsibilities. I am eager to seize opportunities within the company that will allow me to contribute to its growth, improving my skills and expertise as a virtual assistant. Through my career, I aim to evolve, learn, and apply these newfound insights to contribute meaningfully to my role, personal development, and the overall success of the company.
