Jean Lawrence Rodriguez – Virtual Assistant/ English and Research Teacher

Hello, I am Jean Lawrence Rodriguez, known to many as Lawrence or Renzo by those closest to me. In 2016, I proudly graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, majoring in English, from Saint Louis College-La Union. Directly after obtaining my degree, I embarked on a teaching career at the same institution, where I found myself as a classroom teacher for high school students. Little did I anticipate that this decision would lead to seven magical years of personal and professional growth.

During my tenure, I embraced a multitude of roles, including that of a teacher, researcher, and friend. Tasks varied from crafting presentations and organising school events to editing and proofreading academic materials. Additionally, I found myself offering valuable advice to students on both personal and academic fronts. Through these experiences, I learned the importance of accountability, reliability, and efficiency, qualities that have since become ingrained in my professional approach. The institution also provided a platform for me to hone my skills in hosting events, whether they be small or large, online, or on-site.

In 2017, my career took an exciting turn when I was approached by a reputable review centre in the Philippines to teach grammar and develop test-taking skills for aspiring public servants. What began as a local lecturer position gradually evolved into a national lecturer role, allowing me to travel across the Philippines, connecting with individuals who shared my goal to be successful in life.

Parallel to my bustling teaching career, I ventured into entrepreneurship and established my own Bubble Tea business. Over the course of two successful years, I delved into the intricacies of operations management, customer service, and business social media. This entrepreneurial endeavour added a new dimension to my skill set and broadened my understanding of various facets of business ownership.

With a heavy heart, I eventually decided to leave the teaching field in pursuit of, what I call, self-growth and new opportunities. Not only for me but more so for my family. This pivotal decision led me to the dynamic world of virtual assistance. What I discovered was that this domain was not entirely unfamiliar to me; rather, I just needed to repurpose and refine my existing skills to meet the demands of this evolving career. Continuously seeking improvement through dependable sites and expert advice, I aim to transform my virtual assistance career into an even more significant and meaningful journey.

As I document this profile, I cannot help but highlight my most recent achievement– earning a Master of Arts in Language Teaching. This accomplishment is a source of immense pride for both me and my family. Each of these experiences contributes to shaping the person I am today, and I eagerly look forward to sharing more of my skills and expertise with the world through my services.
