Joan Batuhan – Customer Experience Associate, Sales Associate

My name is Joan Batuhan and I’m 40 years old, living in Cavite, Philippines with my partner and our 4-year-old son. Family is my priority and being present for them while maintaining a fulfilling career is one of my main goals in life. I have over five years of experience in the contact centre industry, having worked for notable companies in both telecommunications and healthcare sectors, such as T-Mobile, AT&T for Business, Telus International, and Humana. During my time in the industry, I specialised in customer service, sales retention, and technical support, where I developed strong communication, problem-solving, and client management skills.

What I loved most about my work was the opportunity to build relationships with clients, helping them find solutions to their issues while ensuring they felt valued. My ability to handle technical challenges and resolve customer concerns has been a key factor in my success, and I take pride in consistently meeting and exceeding performance metrics in these roles. I’ve also had the chance to work both inbound and outbound calls, which gave me experience in cold calling and lead generation—skills that are essential for maintaining a client-focused mindset in any job.

I’m currently looking for a remote work setup because I believe a remote work setup will enhance my productivity since will it allow me to manage my time more efficiently without the need for daily commutes. Being home-based will provide me with the flexibility to balance my professional aspirations and family responsibilities.

The transition to remote work during the pandemic was a game-changer for me. Not only did it prove that I could maintain high performance and reliability while working from home, but it also gave me the chance to create a dedicated workspace where I could focus on delivering quality service to my clients. I realised that working from home was not just a temporary solution—it’s a career path that allows me to achieve the work-life balance I have always aspired for.

My goal now is to find a long-term position as a Virtual Assistant, where I can leverage my customer service, administrative support, and technical skills to help businesses grow. I’m excited to bring my experience, dedication, and problem-solving mindset to a team that values flexibility, productivity, and efficiency. By working remotely, I’m confident that I can offer high-quality service while being present for my family, achieving the perfect balance between personal and professional life.
