Joymee Casimiro – Administrative Assistant, Real Estate

joymee-casimiro-vaHello! I am Joymee Louise Casimiro, you can call me Joy for short. I am 26 years old, a wife, and a mother to my beautiful daughter, Isabella. I graduated last 2016 at Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila with the degree of Cruiseline Operations with Specialization in International Hospitality Management.

All along, I thought that my heart belonged to the hospitality industry. That is why I joined different programs while in college like the Work and Travel Program in the United States where I worked as a food and beverage attendant in New Orleans and joined various groups that will help me get a lot of contact and relations within the industry. After I graduated, I applied as a Food and Beverage Attendant at Omni Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire and worked there for almost a year.

When I got back from the USA, I got a job offer to be a Marketing Associate for a Cultural Exchange Agency here in the Philippines. Then a pandemic happened. Work from home was the new thing and from there everything changed. There were a lot of new opportunities to explore for me and one of them is becoming a VA.

Surprisingly, changing careers from hospitality industry to marketing to being a Real Estate Associate is easy to adapt for me because I know that if I have passion in every task given to me, I know I can make it. One of the common grounds of the industry I’ve been to is that good communication skills is important in which I think is my strength simply because I love talking, building relationships with my clients and other people. I learn fast and will always be willing to learn new things. I can work well alone or with a team. Every day that I come to work I make sure that I always do my excellent best. I am reliable, diligent, goal oriented, resourceful, organised and that I think makes me joymee-casimiro-vawell equipped for the role of becoming a Virtual Assistant,

Working at home is the best working environment for me since I am able to learn and grow professionally in the comfort of my home and while I am looking out for my daughter’s milestones that is one of the most important thing for me, a TIME with my family aside from providing for them.

I always wanted to grow into this industry and I think I found the industry that suits me best. I am excited to learn more about work and life.
