Lorraine Veloso – Digital Marketing

Hello, I’m Lor, short for Lorraine. A person who loves going on adventures and traveling. My journey began at Leyte Normal University, where I earned a degree in Communication and delved deep into the interesting workings of the media industry. From finding timely information to creating news, making a script, to reporting it — these were the things I found fascinating during my university days.

I come from a big simple family of five brothers—I’m the only girl! We’re just your everyday family, big on respect and faith. As I grew up, I found a love of capturing moments in photos and dancing. One time, I got to be a wedding photographer and even entered a photography contest—unforgettable! That’s when I decided to make it a hobby, doing free fun shoots with my friends. And when people ask what I do for fun, it’s all about listening to music and dancing to it. Going to concerts is my thing because there’s something magical about hearing the singer performing live—it’s a whole different experience.

After college, I spent my six months working as an Administrative Aide, juggling tasks like calendar organisation, assisting the clients and my supervisors, and managing database documents. This experience paved the way for me to try on another role as a Digital Marketer in an earthmoving and franchising industry based in Australia. This experience broadened my skills in social media management and email marketing. Brainstorming for engaging content, putting plans into action, and seeing tangible results fueled my creative side and inspired me to contribute even more to the business. On a personal side, I channel my creative juices into crafting short-form videos, especially when I’m on the go.

The world of Digital Marketing is vast, and recognizing the importance of continual learning, I’ve enrolled in a Project Management course in Coursera. I believe that adding these skills will enhance my effectiveness in Digital Marketing. Yet, skills aren’t enough—having the right personality and attitude is also important. Luckily, being easy to work with has been one of my strengths, thanks to the valuable lessons I’ve learned from collaborating with various people in the dynamic field of Digital Marketing.

As a Digital Marketer, my dream revolves around leveraging my passion to assist businesses in achieving their goals and objectives. It’s not just a job for me; it’s a journey I’m excited to embark on every day.
