Marlou Bello – Administrative Assistant, IT Support
When I look back on my career, I’m amazed at how much I’ve progressed over the last few years. I’ve had the honour of pursuing my love of technology and developing my abilities in a fast-paced field for more than nine years working in a variety of digital roles.
I started up installing and configuring wireless broadband equipment at Globe Telecom in General Santos City as an authorised technician. My love for technology was sparked by this position, which enabled me to debug problems and offer Level 1 technical support to keep consumers connected.
After that, I decided to work as a freelancer for Zyrus Tech Computer and Parts. I created specialised systems here that were suited to the requirements of each client in addition to troubleshooting and repairing machines. Installing CCTV cameras gave me the chance to improve security solutions as well, which gave my job an entirely new level of fulfilment.
Today, I proudly serve as the Head of the Technical Support Department at Elliott Enterprises. My responsibilities include supervising hardware troubleshooting, overseeing software configurations, and managing network administration for CORSNET. I’ve even had the chance to train others on GNSS receivers and LiDAR systems, further fuelling my desire to share knowledge and uplift those around me.
I now have a high regard for teamwork and mentoring as a result of this trip. I am grateful for my family’s assistance. Even though I have failed several times in the past, they have always supported my enthusiasm. The prospect of being able to demonstrate your abilities on a global scale while simultaneously learning from your clients and coworkers is incredibly intriguing, which is another reason why I want to venture into the world of remote work.
I always wake up every day feeling excited to find clients that can appreciate my skills because I am honestly tired of preparing every morning to travel and go to work. If ever I am given a chance to be part of this industry, I will really make sure that clients get the service they want. I believe that my edge is that I love what I do, and I always seek improvement to make sure I am not stuck in one specialty. I believe that we should always fuel ourselves with knowledge, skills, and confidence. Cheers to those who are still doing client hunting just like I do!
