Hi! My name is Mary Jean Cortes, 40 years old with 2 kids from Philippines, a bachelor degree holder in Business Management.

I have various work experiences in different industries for 14 years more. I do Accounts Receivable/Payable, a manufacturing Production Quality Head, a Credit and Collection Officer, an Administrative Officer, and Finance. To sum it up, my previous functions were more on administrative functions, customer service, and Finance.

My skill sets include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google Spreadsheets, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Email Management, Canva, and basic accounting.

My previous work was in the car industry handling the Finance & Insurance Department. I enjoyed working there. In fact I foresee that I will retire in that company. But, status swerved when the nanny of my 2-year old baby quit. Since I cannot find a replacement right away, I don’t have a choice but to stop working. Pandemic came and it was getting more difficult for me to hustle. I came across the advertisement for a virtual assistant course and explored what it has to offer for my career and got so much interest in it.

I am looking for my niche, research on how I can enhance it to better assist my future client.
At the moment, I am still continuing my online study. I’m in love with e-Commerce and drop shipping, virtual administrative work and a bit of graphic design. I use my spare time to watch online tutorials on YouTube and some free courses.

With regards to my quality of work, well I believe that maturity, work experiences, and dedication are my greatest assets to offer. I have this “I can do all” attitude that no matter how difficult it is or if you don’t have an idea at all, I won’t easily give up. Instead, I will go back to the first step to study and learn how to do it in an effective and efficient manner.

As a freelancer, I know that virtual jobs are very broad. I see to it that I am always up for a challenge by never stopping to learn, to widen my knowledge and upgrade my skills. My goal is to fully equip myself for a virtual world. I know and believe that I can do this with passion and determination to succeed. For self fulfillment and above all for my family.
