Mickiela Christian – Marketing

mickiela-christian-vaHi, My name is Mickiela Christian, and I’m legally single. I attended the University of the West Indies. Some of my hobbies are content creation and figuring out how to leverage social media platforms. A few years ago, I aspired to work in a position or pursue a job that would allow me to be a remote employee on a small, close-knit team. Yet occasionally life throws you a curveball, as was the case with the pandemic. I never thought working from home could be so uplifting, enjoyable, and interesting.

I started in customer service for a direct marketer that sold limited-edition jewelry, collectibles, home goods, and presents. I eventually got the chance to work remotely. When the global epidemic struck in 2020, I took the chance and had the option to work from home. Because of the foreign work environment and the many variables involved, the move was not simple, but I’m glad I made it.

I was shocked at how easily I was able to adapt to my new environment. I was able to obtain experience through customer support, maintaining source data, improving workflow, marketing, and promotion, social media marketing, client onboarding, coaching, reporting, scheduling, and digital marketing. I am flexible and capable of handling several projects at once. I work well both solo and in teams. I find it enjoyable to impart my knowledge to my team members, and I want to collaborate with them to co-create a healthy work environment and corporate culture. Because I am diligent in my work, goal-oriented, detail-oriented, resourceful, and blessed with a variety of talents and a strong will, I make a fantastic virtual assistant.

mickiela-christian-vaUnderstanding the company’s ethos and climate is crucial over time, as is maintaining a positive mindset, consistently contributing your best, and accepting responsibility for the direction of your work in multiple aspects. When you give your all, comprehend, ask for help when necessary, and take responsibility for your actions, no challenge is too challenging.

Although working from home is considerably different from working in an office, I know that this setting is best for myself and my career. In addition to financially contributing to my family, I think that giving them support is a valuable gift, and working from home allows me to do just that.

In a bid to improve myself by applying these skills and knowledge in both my work and my personal affairs, I would like to develop my career.
