Patrick Maglipon – Technical Support Representative

Hi! I’m John Patrick T. Maglipon. I’m the youngest among 3 children, and my parents separated a long time ago before I turned 1-year-old. My mother has become a very hard working person to make sure that she can give us a wonderful life. Though we may not have a great life status, we are not rich, we always need to borrow money to make sure that we can have something to eat.

I worked as a Technical Representative in a BPO industry. I became a working student atthe Philippine Women’s College. I work in the evening then study in the morning. My professors know about my status that I work at night to support my studies. I don’t ask for any help from my mother because I don’t want to be an additional problem to her.

There are times that I need to drop some of my subjects/units because I am at the point that I cannot attend the class due to lack of sleep and energy. Aside from Technical Support, I also love cooking. My hobbies include photo editing and some videos like for Vlogs. Art is kind of my hobby. I also love drawing and appreciating art pictures.

And also I love traveling from city to city, looking for wonderful views, meeting new people, and experiencing other cultures so we can learn how to communicate properly to different kinds of attitudes. Communicating with them will make us grow our knowledge.

My dream is to be a professional chef just like Gordon Ramsey, because I am looking forward to have my own cooking business, and because I will be a father soon, I am very motivated to give my best on any work that I could have so I can be prepared mentally and physically and specially financially, because I don’t want my child to experience the same experience that I’ve been through. That’s why I really want to know different kinds of people for my knowledge and also to improve my knowledge for the kinds of foods I can cook.

But still I want my child to learn to be an independent and hard working person and learn how to appreciate small things that he/she has because not all people have what we have.
I may not be a perfect person but at least I can say and show that I am doing my best to show my love, my time to those people that are important to me.

I am still not a college graduate because of the pandemic Covid-19. But I’m making way to learn more about cooking so I can sell the foods that I learn, so I can also earn money by selling the foods and the money that I will be earning will be a saving for the upcoming baby.
I may not have a wonderful story but at least I can share the hard work that my mom shows us just to give a life and I am so grateful for the life that I have right now.
