Perlie Balbuena – Administrative Assistant, Production Manager

Hi I am Perlie Jane Balbuena, 32 years old and I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Ever since I was young, I already love numbers. Working with numbers is my core competence – data entry, analyzing data and forecasting.

I worked for more than 10 years as a Production Analysts/ Production Manager/ Production Planning and Control Manager for different food manufacturing plants. Currently, I am working for a Finn owned chocolate and coco sugar plant as a production manager, but I function as chief operating officer.

The owner trusted me with the majority of the tasks because he prefers me to do these all. He is very contented with my output and does not want to hire anybody that will just give him headache. I do forecasting of production, manpower scheduling, payroll, encoding and reconciling sales, deposits and expenses. I also do purchasing, delivery and cooperation with the suppliers and clients, doing paper works and updating the company’s regulatory and permits. I am in-charge with the overall planning, leading, organizing and controlling.

With all my experiences, I learned to be more patient and creative in finding solutions to a problem, you just need to be determined and persistent to reach the goal.

Working on a food manufacturing plant really requires patience, hard work, proactiveness and you have to be quick in making reasonable decisions. Multi-tasking is a must because you do production work, boosts the moral of your team, and be on top of your game; no room for mistakes.

I am a happy person. I accept new tasks as a challenge to make my inner self strive for excellence. It is a God given gift to me that I am optimistic and goal-driven person and most especially, I am a loving- good provider mother and wife to my family.
