Cindy Galingan – General Virtual Assistant

Hello! My name is Cindy Lyn Galingan, but you can call me Cindy. I am from the beautiful country of the Philippines. I started working in the sales industry when I was 18 years old, where I spent almost three years assisting customers and providing excellent customer service. This experience helped me develop my communication skills as well as my ability to manage high sales and check inventories.

After working in the sales industry, I decided to pursue an opportunity to work abroad. I applied through an agency to a manufacturing company and was fortunate enough to be hired as an operator in the manufacturing department. My primary responsibilities included operating and maintaining the production machinery and equipment to ensure efficiency and meet production targets. Additionally, I was responsible for conducting basic quality checks to identify defects during the manufacturing process.

During the pandemic, in 2021, I decided to start my own online business selling snacks and thrift store clothes. After a few months, I decided to open a physical store. Despite COVID-19’s presence, I took a risk and opened the store. My partner manages it now, and it is still doing well.

I am currently in my second year of pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree. I believe that studying will help me achieve my future career goals. My course is modular, which allows me to work alongside my studies. This is why I am keen to work from home. While browsing for online jobs, I am also learning the necessary skills to become a virtual assistant. Although I do not have any prior experience in this field, I am eager to learn and contribute my best efforts. My ultimate goal is to grow my career as a virtual assistant by gaining more knowledge and improving my skills, both for my career and personal development.”
