Feel free to call me Jess or Jessica—both names work for me. I’m an individual driven by passion and self-motivation, and I bring over 14 years of solid experience in the outsourcing industry to the table. Throughout my career, I’ve taken on diverse roles such as customer service supervisor, executive assistant, export sales, conference administrator, customer retention specialist, appointment setter, and cold caller. I’ve had the privilege of working with outsourcing companies, manufacturing firms, and non-profit organisations.

I have a can-do attitude and a genuine love for learning new things. I’m particularly interested in topics related to business, history, and foreign affairs. I greatly admire individuals who uplift and inspire others to achieve their full potential.

For over eight years, I worked in the call center industry, and for the past six years, I have been working remotely, providing administrative services to business owners and helping streamline their business operations.

I began my career as an appointment setter and cold caller for a small company in Makati, where I handled various campaigns such as surveys, RSVPs, vending machine sales, and introducing new technologies to companies. I’m responsible for reaching out to prospective clients, scheduling appointments, and following up over the phone. Unfortunately, the company closed after three years. Subsequently, I worked as a customer retention specialist, where I handled the Affinion account. My role involved persuading customers not to cancel their subscriptions by educating them about the company’s benefits and adhering to quality guidelines. Later, I worked as a conference administrator, facilitating conference calls and ensuring smooth meeting operations. Seeking further growth opportunities, I spent six years working in Thailand. Initially, I served as an export sales representative for an electronics manufacturing company on a project-based account. Later, I was hired as an executive assistant and focal point for a non-profit organisation (Employers ‘Confederation of Thailand). In this role, I supported the organisation’s top-level executives and directly reported to the Secretary-General. My responsibilities included managing the executive calendar, drafting communications, organising meetings, and providing a warm welcome to visitors.

Most recently, I worked as a customer service supervisor for a manufacturing company (Innofresh Co., Ltd). I provided support to management and executives, handling tasks such as data entry, email management, marketing, research, and coordination across different departments. Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and meetings was also a key aspect of my role.

Coincidentally, I came across a video about being a virtual assistant, which allowed me to continue earning while being in my home country. This realisation led me to return to the Philippines and pursue a career in freelancing.

I am currently happy and fulfilled, working alongside my family. They say there’s no place like home, and it’s absolutely true. On weekends, you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee with my father, who is my coffee buddy. We both love our coffee chats. As a coffee lover, I have a particular fondness for the taste of cappuccino. On my days off, I indulge in my favorite comfort foods like fried chicken, burgers, and of course, coffee, while binge-watching my favorite anime series.

I excel in leveraging my strong organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks, manage schedules, and maintain a well-structured work environment. This allows me to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and consistently meet deadlines. Additionally, my excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enable me to convey information clearly, listen attentively, and respond effectively. My proactive and resourceful nature shines through as I approach.
