Kashif Waheed – Customer Service Representative, Sales

Kashif-Waheed-vaMy name is Kashif. I live in Pakistan and I’m a graduate of Bachelor of Arts. I started working in the call center industry right after my intermediate exam here in Pakistan. During that time, my friend owns a call center and offered me a chance to work there. He was running an international campaign for electric gas in the UK. I was hired as a sales agent and my responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound calls. I love talking on the phone as it helped me a lot in improving my English speaking skills. My task was to convince people to switch their gas provider and install a new service through us. On sale usually took a week in closing as people are busy but I keep a strong follow-up and took a deep breath when I finally closed the sale.

It made me feel so good. Sometimes I make new friends when making a deal over the phone. In the beginning, I found it a bit difficult as my English was not so good then I watched seasons and speak with friends and family in English. It helped me a lot and I overcame my fear of speaking in English.

After that, I just enjoy talking on the phone. I speak what customer wants to hear not always my script or rebuttals. Then I worked for a US company named JS cabling solutions. There I call on provided leads to find customers if they need any cabling or networking solution. I also provide chat support. I resolve queries of clients over chat very pleasantly and do some administrative tasks like making reports, setting appointments and submit them to the company.

Kashif-Waheed-vaI also worked with Claims-master, which is a realtor company. I use cold calling to generate new leads and find people who may want to buy or sell their homes. I always took responsibility for my client’s information.
