Kathrine Tapia – Customer Service Representative

Hi, I am Kathrine Tapia, you can call me Kath. I am a wife and a mother of 2, I am an expectant mom to my second child and will give birth soon. I have been working as a Customer Service Representative for 3 years now and have a background in teaching too! I used to be an online English Tutor for 5 years with students and professionals from different countries like Korea, Japan, China, and Vietnam.

When I started working at home, I knew that this is the kind of work setup I needed. I feel comfortable and stress-free and I am able to take care of my daughter. I decided to enroll myself in a Virtual Assistant Course and started my career as an EA. I know that there’s a lot for me to learn but I can feel that this is my niche. I love helping others with their business to grow.

After taking the VA Course, I learned a lot and was able to gain more confidence and skills. I know that this would be a tough road to take, but the willingness inside of me makes me more eager to become the best Executive Assistant I can be. I understand it could be difficult, but asking questions when needed and understanding the needs and goals of your client will build a long-term relationship. I can handle stress and pressure gracefully. It’s also a good thing to schedule your priorities to get the tasks done according to their urgency. It’s always best to be diligent, responsible, and have an eye for details. This is what I have been practicing!

But more than the skills I have, I am still keen on learning new things, especially in this field. I am open to more knowledge and upskill training to better myself and enhance the skillset I have.

This is the kind of job I have been dreaming of. Imagine how much time I could save by not commuting to the office, and how much time I got to spend with my family. Working in the comforts of your home while earning money to provide for their needs is one pleasure of mine.

I aim to expand my skill set, increase my knowledge, push my comfort zone and boost my career as an Executive Assistant.
