Matthew Aiton – General Virtual Assistant

matthew-aiton-vaHi, I’m Matthew Aiton, you can call me Matt. I graduated from Wilsonton State High School in 2021. During my studies, I excelled up until 2019 when my father passed away. That took a toll. I finally came out of that hole in 2022 and have been interested and participating in forms of online work for some time having gone through a venture business of my very own.

In 2022, I worked on and launched C-Ritr, an intermediary company that was meant to connect companies with marketing experts. Sadly, C-Ritr never really took off, but the knowledge, experience, and methodology I learned from that experience have and will forever be invaluable to me.

I, for the first time, conducted my own research via split testing. I organised and gathered emailing lists as well as designed promotional material. By the time I had become relatively confident in how to do things, I had to cut it short. This opened my eyes to the world of online money and work and introduced me to the idea of freelance positions and VAs.

Naturally, from there I decided I’d like to start making money online and via contract position whilst also keeping a portion of freedom, so I took up delivery, UI testing, and AI training roles. I knew before I started these positions that I wanted to be known for my quality of work, not just for myself, but for the satisfaction of the recipient or reviewer. To me, there is nothing nicer than a clean and organised piece of complete work. I even did this by folding the delivery papers. I particularly found the online work I was partaking in enjoyable and fulfilling which sparked my desire to turn this into a career.

matthew-aiton-vaAs of 2023, I have moved from my hometown in Toowoomba, Australia up further north to a small town called Yeppoon. A stressful year, but also the one I’ve made the most `progress on myself, my life direction, and my passions. I aim to establish my career as a VA. I integrate and work well with teams, but honestly enjoy simply pumping out work myself. Being focused on my output and its quality, as well as potentially integrating new technologies into my work to streamline, refine, and increase the amount of work I can do within a day. In the end don’t just aim to do my set tasks, but rather to make my client’s life easier.
