Vilma Oliva – General Virtual Assistant

vilma-oliva-vaHi there! My name is Vilma Oliva, known as Ravien to my online friends and Vie to those who have known me for years. As a single mother, I take pride in raising my two grown-up children, a son, and a daughter, as well as caring for my beloved male shih tzu who I consider my furbaby. I have deep affection for animals, particularly dogs, and cats. Currently, I reside in the vibrant city of Taguig.

My educational journey began with a two-year auxiliary nursing course at the University of Santo Tomas. However, after the birth of my first child, I felt compelled to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which I completed in 1990 at the Chinese General Hospital College of Nursing

I started my career as a medical assistant, where I provided administrative and clinical support to physicians. After three years, I transitioned to becoming a home health nurse, working under the supervision of a senior professional nurse. Over the span of five years, I cared for numerous patients transitioning to in-home care, often tending to elderly individuals with terminal illnesses. I built strong connections with my patients, as I have always been passionate about helping others.

In 2016, I entered the corporate world and joined the BPO industry as a customer service representative in a call center. During my time there, I developed a deep understanding of customer needs and the importance of delivering quality service. My experience taught me the value of being organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. When the pandemic hit, remote work became the norm for many companies. I adapted easily to this change. Working from home enabled me to manage my time and energy more effectively, resulting in increased productivity. It also provided me with the flexibility to maintain a balance between work and personal life, especially considering my family and other commitments.

vilma-oliva-vaUnfortunately, in 2021, due to the impact of the pandemic the account I was working on dissolved. After three months of being in floating status, I made the decision to resign and explore online work opportunities. While searching for new employment, I engaged in micro jobs as a side income while working on gaining experience and honing my skills.

Apart from my healthcare and customer service backgrounds, I am also a creative person with a deep passion for graphic design, photo editing, and video editing. I find enjoyment in expressing my creativity and bringing ideas to life through visual storytelling on social media platforms. I have a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.

By combining my customer service expertise with my creative skills, I aim to provide great support and deliver visually appealing content for clients. I believe that a strong combination of interpersonal skills and a creative mindset can truly make an impact.

I am committed to always looking for new ways to expand my knowledge, broaden my skill set and become a helpful resource to my clients and colleagues. I am confident that I can make a positive effect on any team and I am excited to see what the future holds.
