Asha Wanjiru – Virtual Assistant, Customer Support Representative
Growing up, I was always fascinated by how technology connects people and how excellent service can make a difference in someone’s experience. My interest in customer support and virtual assistance began with a deep passion for helping others and a natural ability to organise tasks efficiently.
My first professional experience was in a call centre, where I learned the art of communication, problem-solving, and multitasking. Handling high volumes of calls and emails daily taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and active listening. I took pride in ensuring that every customer felt heard and valued. Over time, I refined my ability to resolve issues quickly, which led to increased customer satisfaction ratings and positive feedback from clients and supervisors.
As I expanded my skill set, I transitioned into virtual assistance, taking on diverse roles, including email and calendar management, data entry, web research, and customer support. I realised that being a virtual assistant requires more than just administrative skills- it demands adaptability, proactiveness, and a keen eye for detail.
I found joy in organising workflows, streamlining tasks, and making my clients’ lives easier by handling the behind-the-scenes work efficiently.
One of the most rewarding experiences I had was assisting a business owner overwhelmed with daily operations. By structuring their inbox, setting up automated responses, and prioritising their tasks, I helped them regain control of their time and focus on growing their business. Seeing the positive impact of my work reinforced my passion for this field.
Working remotely has also strengthened my ability to manage time effectively, maintain professionalism in virtual interactions, and stay self-motivated. I have embraced tools like CRM software, project management platforms, and customer support systems to improve efficiency. Whether responding to customer inquiries, coordinating schedules, or troubleshooting technical issues, I always approach my tasks with dedication and a customer-first mindset.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine excellent communication with strong organisational skills. I thrive in fast-paced environments, take pride in my reliability, and continuously seek growth opportunities. Being a virtual assistant and customer support professional is not just a job for me—it’s a role that allows me to make meaningful connections, provide value, and contribute to a team’s success.
I am excited about the opportunity to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to a company that values efficiency, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. I look forward to making a difference in my next role.
