Claudia Shippey – General Virtual Assistant

My name is Claudia Shippey, you can call me Claudia. I am a uni student currently studying for my biomedical degree with a vast background in customer service and data entry.

If you told me five years ago I would be applying for an online job, I would have looked at you like you were crazy, I didn’t even realise it was an option, but the world is changing and so is work as we know it. I never knew options like these would be as easy and accessible as they are today.

I believe this position is ideal for me as I have a very flexible schedule, it also is vastly cost-saving as I don’t need to spend money on fuel, relieving financial stress and allowing me to focus on work.

I worked as a receptionist for a general practitioner clinic for three years. My role there was to organise appointments, be the general line of communication with clients and solve any questions. I also have experience in data entry and analysis at a waste management company where I worked with Microsoft- mostly Excel, fulfilled all the invoices where bins needed to be picked up, and organised payroll. With skills like these, I believe I would be vital to your customer service team

Working remotely is vastly different from being at an office, but I know that this environment is best for me and my family. I will have a lot more time to focus on my studies while doing a job that I am well-versed in and passionate about!

I aim to grow further with my career and all of my pursuits and learn more skills and knowledge along the way to better myself and apply them to both my work and life.
