Hi, I am Elisha Quiamco Descartin, you can call me Lai, 28 years old. I am the eldest, I have two brothers, one is 23 years old and the other is 8 years old. I come from a family where my father works as an engineer, and my mother is a dedicated housewife. I just got married last July 8, 2023, my husband is a seafarer.

I graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of San Jose Recoletos. I started my career in Human Resource Recruitment, on that the same year I was promoted as Human Resource Officer, managing timekeeping and employee relation. I am currently working as an Executive Assistant to the CEO/V-President on a holding company with 5 subsidiary company, providing high-level support to executives and other level of position. My task involves managing her calendars, coordinating meetings, handling travel arrangements (Booking tickets, Hotel, Itinerary and airport transfer), visa applications (such as Japan, Schengen Visa, US Visa), attending business meetings, preparing and reviewing reports to be submitted to the CEO, I also assist other departments when they need help which allows me to learn more about Sales, Marketing, Accounts Management, HR, Finance and Accounting).

With my experience, I am equipped with the ability to navigate fast-paced environments, manage complex calendars, and maintain strict focus on confidentiality. I am detail-oriented and can work both alone or with the team. I have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

When I got married last 2023 and considering the profession of my husband, I can honestly say that working from home has been a huge benefit, as it allows us to spend time together when he returns after being away for 7-8 months working.

I’ve learned that working from home not only provides flexibility but also allows me to be more present for my family while balancing my professional responsibilities. As I continue to grow in my career. I am excited to learn more and apply my skills to both my work and personal life, creating a better life for myself and my family.

This will be my first time working from home, and I am eager to adapt and excel in a remote set-up. I will attend training and seminars to enhance my skills and to learn more about this setup. My strong communication skills and ability to focus will allow me to work hard in a work-from-home environment while delivering high-quality support to the executives.
