Estela Marie Cid – Customer Service Representative

Hola! This is Estela, your enthusiastic VA! I am 31 years old and have two lovely kids. I have been married for 8 years now. I was working in a well prestigious BPO company here in the Philippines for more than 4 years before.

I was doing well and excelling but when our firstborn came, my priorities and goals changed. I wanted to be present and take care of him. So I decided to resign and work from home. I applied as a Virtual Assistant and am now working for almost six years y. I never regret leaving my corporate job because there is nothing more fulfilling than being able to provide for my family and be present in their everyday lives.

My first client was an Australian who is a financial coach. Basically, I do everything for her including calling, texting, and emailing customers. I booked them on her calendar for training and coaching. Also, make it a point that her CRM is up to date. So whatever updates I have on each customer/client I make sure to update her. It was a smooth journey until the company announced its shutdown. She had to let me go.

So like we always say, after a breakup, life must go on. So I applied to almost every single job post. Interviewed here and there until I found another client from Los Angeles, California. He is smart and patient in providing training. We actually started with 3 VAs and to make the story short, I made it to the top. I learned a lot from this journey. From being a customer service representative to a well-versed estimator. Most of the time, I handle calls, texts, and emails and give out pricing to customers looking to get a quote. Pretty much, I am a well-rounded Virtual Assistant. I have to make sure everyone gets the best customer service they could ever imagine. On the side, I make sure that I perform all admin tasks aside from being a customer service representative. Updating CRM is just one of the tasks assigned to me.

Aside from being a virtual assistant, I am proud to say that I have always been on top of everything. I am goal-oriented, organized, and above all that, I am credible in my work ethic.
