Jhenny Balangui – Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeping

Hi! I am Jhenny from the summer capital of the Philippines, Baguio City.

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Values & Religious Education. I have worked in a private organization, particularly the church for more than 3 years where I teach children, give training and seminars for youth and adults. Aside from this I do admin tasks and bookkeeping. My job has taught me a lot to be able to multitask, be creative and flexible. After years of working here, I decided not to renew my contract because I want to explore and discover new skills that is why I enrolled for paid and free online courses.

After attending training and webinars, I realize that I want to continue what I have started not by working in the church but helping people achieve their goals in life. Because I believe that, I can serve the Lord not by working in church but by helping other people by sharing my skills. Because of this, I want to start my career as a Social Media Manager. I don’t have experience in managing Social Media Accounts for clients but I do have knowledge regarding the duties and responsibilities since I attend training/webinars and I manage my personal Social Media and that is why I believe I can offer my great skills and in handling your social media accounts. I am passionate about becoming a Social Media Manager. I am organized, creative, and a fast learner. I can assure to give outstanding results, long-term relationships, and professionalism to my work.

I actually applied for a different job at the same time because I really need to earn money to bring food to the table for my family. However, after realizing so many things, I decided to settle down and focus my application for Social Media Manager as this is really where my heart is. My love for social media helps me to become creative and helps me believe that every post and update posted in my social media has a story to tell.

Aside from helping clients and managing their social media, it is my goal to change the wrong notion of people to social media, which is a source of bad influence, fake news and privacy concerns. There are disadvantages but the advantages are more, there is a need for people to realize that social media is a tool. As Gary Vaynerchuk said, we cannot win big in social media if we are afraid of emerging to technology.

With all the experiences that I have in life, I make this as my inspiration to become a better version of myself and become successful in my career.
