Krystel Alido – Administrative Assistant

Krystel-Joyce-Alido-vaThis is Krystel Joyce Alido, please dive through my skills and experiences as you read along my passages.

Let us start with how I pursue my dreams in science. I enrolled in a science class during high school. From there, I honed my skills in research, critical thinking, and problem solving. These are skills that cannot be learned in one sitting but through time, these grow like Sequoia trees.

In college I first took up Electronics Engineering for a year, because of that I learned in depth analysis skills, especially in math problems. I gave myself a chance to pursue what I love, which is science, so I took up a Bachelor of Science in Biology major in Microbiology. It was a wonderful and marvelous growth for me. I learned more about research, so I am confident in handling documentation, paperwork, and scientific studies. I even got my Microsoft office certification proving that I am literate and knowledgeable in navigating through Microsoft Office.

In addition to that, I am a consecutive dean’s lister attesting to my intellectual skills and I am confident in handling responsibilities since I have been part of the student governance for two years. First, I was a secretary where I learned how to systematically organize calendars, including scheduling, and confirming appointments, handling meetings, timely base reports, and delivering minutes. Second, I was the Vice-President, I learned how to handle events, organization and doing multiple tasks in order to deliver a successful event.

Krystel-Joyce-Alido-vaI used to work as a Medical Biller in a US-based company handling multiple nursing homes. I did data entry for patients’ profiles and diagnoses, I sent invoices for billing, and I handled taking and making calls to different nursing facilities for insurance confirmation. I was also an ESL teacher where I teach non-native speakers of different ages to speak English, which shows that I am good with my communication and interpersonal skills.

I can positively say that I can do administrative tasks such as data entry using google suite and Microsoft office. I can also provide and make PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and even entry-level graphic design using Canva pro.

I am still learning and growing, hence I wanted to use this as leverage to work with you and with the team. I may lack the experience but through time as I said, people tend to grow like trees and I am in the phase where my hunger for learning is at its peak. As a Virtual Assistant, I will do more, learn more and be more, so that the client can see me as a reliable employee.
