Terence Joyce Gervacio – General Virtual Assistant, Marketing

Hello! My name is Terence Joyce Gervacio, but you can call me TJ. I graduated from ACLC College Balanga Bataan with a degree in Computer Engineering.

I started my career as a virtual assistant at an Australian outsourcing company, where I had the chance to support a business coaching client. In this position, I managed tasks for over eight medical clients, helping to create technical systems that fit their specific needs. My duties included handling administrative tasks, organising meetings, developing strategies, and assisting with recruitment. During this time, I also received training in basic SEO, which helped me enhance my skill set. This role was perfect for me, as it allowed me to gain valuable experiences that helped me adapt to the diverse needs of clients across different industries while enjoying the work-life balance I had always wanted.

Afterward, I actively sought opportunities to improve my skills as a virtual assistant, driven by my desire for continuous growth and learning. I gained important experience in basic website editing, administrative support, social media management, recruitment, and organising internal marketing events. Each of these roles presented unique challenges that helped me sharpen my skills and better understand client interactions and project management.

When the pandemic hit, I took a brief break from my career, which provided me with time for reflection and personal growth. This period allowed me to rethink my career goals and aspirations. Shortly thereafter, I secured my current work-from-home position, where my hard work and dedication led to excellent performance evaluations and a promotion to team leader in the Research Team of the Marketing Department. In this role, I help manage the team, oversee lead enrichment initiatives, maintain databases, and handle various administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency. I take immense pride in ensuring that our team’s workflow remains smooth and effective, helping us achieve our goals.

I have always been passionate about working in client-based environments because I truly enjoy interacting with people from different backgrounds. I believe that positivity, authenticity, a willingness to help, and a commitment to exceeding expectations are essential for success in client service. My aim is to continue growing in my career, developing my expertise, and becoming a trusted resource for innovative ideas, support, and guidance. I am genuinely excited about the future and the opportunities it brings for me to make a meaningful impact in my field.
