Andessa Pleno – General Virtual Assistant, Quality Analyst

andessa-pleno-vaHi, I am Andessa Mari Bianca Pleno. I have a lot of nicknames, as you can see. I have three first names; some of my friends call me Andy, but the ones that are close to me call me Biang. I graduated with a degree in Information Technology from the City of Malabon University. This is not the degree that I wanted, but I ended up choosing it because of my grandfather’s wish. I enjoy working from home because it is convenient and saves time.

I started working for an IT company that serves banks, mostly to support their employees with Technical and customer support. I was assigned as Technical Support/Technical Inventory staff. Then, after a year, another opportunity came. I was working in a Manufacturing company as a Data entry assistant for the sales department and was promoted after 2 years as a sales admin assistant. After  3 years, I was fortunate enough to work for a BPO company with a healthcare account. Then came the opportunity to find a BPO company that offers work-from-home jobs. I enjoy working at home so much that I never thought that I could work onsite anymore. It was just eye-opening for me. It’s like that’s where my work skills really came out. I enjoy working virtually alone.

Although working from home is significantly different from working in an office, I know that my family and I are better off in this setting. Along with financial support, I think time is a valuable gift I can give my family, and working from home allows me to do just that.

andessa-pleno-vaSuccess over time depends on having a positive attitude, continually putting up your best effort, and accepting responsibility for your work in all respects. It also depends on understanding the company’s culture and surroundings. Nothing is impossible if you put your all into it, comprehend, ask for help when you need it, and take responsibility for your work. You need to show that even when you work at home, you deliver your best work ethic with integrity. I’ve learned a lot from the industries I’ve been in, and I know I have a lot more to learn. That’s what I like the most: the never-ending learning that comes from working.

My job goal is to advance, and along the way, I want to increase my knowledge and abilities in order to become a better person and use them in both my professional and personal lives.
