Axel Elardo – Sales, Virtual Assistant

axel-elardo-vaHi, My name is Axel Christian Elardo from Cebu City Philippines. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in the University of San Carlos. I consider myself a people person with a strong sense of commitment, integrity, and work ethics. I am highly motivated, and organised, can influence individuals to perform at their full potential, result oriented and can drive performance to excellence. I have proven ability in planning, data analytics, and process improvement has a keen eye for detail. I’m also a fast learner, flexible, and can easily adapt to change.

I started my career as a junior accountant in different industries. Some of my tasks were but were not limited to cash remittance and disbursement, updates and maintains records pertinent to cash balances, bank statements, prepare Check Vouchers & Checks for payment to suppliers or contractors. Prepare Daily Cash Position Report, Monthly Cash Requirement Report & Cash Flow Reports.

In 2005, I shifted my career to the BPO industry starting out as an Outbound/Inbound Agent in which main responsibility is to interface with the clients’ customers or make a sale. I answer calls from customers, helping them resolve issues and solve problems while inputting their call information into the computer and able to handle large volumes of inquiries, and navigate the computer, while providing superb customer service. In less than a year, I got promoted as Team Leader doing  daily one-on-one supervision and management of all Support Professionals in the team; typically a minimum of 20 direct reports. Ensures service delivered to our customers meets contractual Key axel-elardo-vaPerformance Indicator (KPI’s) obligations of our clients through the management of operational activity of the team. Implements systems and processes to achieve client-specified metrics while providing development opportunities to our Support Professionals. I continued to climb the corporate ladder and became a Sales Manager.

The pandemic brought out the best and worst for many of us. I am now working remotely as a Sales Development Representative. Working from home has its own challenges. You need to be more independent and be more reliable. It requires tons of commitment, dedication and a strong work ethic. Luckily those are some of my best qualities. But the best part of it is that I now have more time for my family compared to working in the office.

My goal now is to make this a sustainable long term career and growth.
