Kareen Sayson – Administrative Assistant

kareen-sayson-vaHi there! My name is Kareen Mary Sayson, but you can call me “Kaye” for short. I am married and have a sweet, charming daughter. I graduated from Silliman University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Major in Management.

I landed my first job in a contact center working as a customer service representative handling inbound calls. On an average, I receive about 50 calls per day resolving technical issues and receiving payments over the phone. After a few years, my time shift continued to rotate which made me decide to quit. The timing was right as another opportunity knocked on my door.

My first virtual work experience was being an online English teacher to foreign students. It was a fun opportunity as I not only taught lessons to these students but I also learned a lot from their culture and country.

Welcoming myself to the corporate world, I got hired to work in a bank. My work revolves around the daily transactional routine. Receiving cash deposits and checks, withdrawals, loans, bank records and reporting. I learned much about administrative work and how to go through each day with flying colors. I was taught how to manage my time well and observe deadlines at all times. Submissions of reports are done daily. Being keen even to the slightest details, so as not to make any mistakes. Working in a bank requires integrity, thus I adhere to this principle that says, “Honesty is always the key to every success”.

kareen-sayson-vaIn our lives, there are important decisions that we need to consider. A year after I gave birth, I decided to take a leap and left the corporate world to become a full-time mother to my child. It was a tough decision but I believe that there is always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Being a stay-at-home mother gave me the chance to raise my child well and I now have a lot of quality time with my family. That’s what matters the most to me, as I am a family-oriented person.

Social media has been a part of my daily routine. I wanted to be a vlogger, so I researched my own resources and luckily with my determination, I was able to edit and upload random vlogs, keeping my channel active. I take pride in what I do.

I have heard so many stories of successful VA’s and it motivated me to learn more about the virtual assistant role. I love the flexibility of the job, which allows me to work remotely at the comforts of my home.

Now, I am ready to become a better version of myself, fully-equipped with all the skills that I’ve learned from my previous jobs. Moving forward to grow my career in your company and together we aim for greater success.
