Ramonchito Cabañero – Administrative Assistant, Sales

Hi! My name is Ramonchito “Monching” Geralde Cabañero. A 31-year old undergrad from the University of Cebu, one of the biggest universities in the island of Cebu, Philippines. I was on my 4th year study when I decided to apply and work in Qualfon, Philippines. It was an initiative I took to help my family get through our financial peril.

I initially worked as a Customer/Technical Support for Tracfone and Net10, prepaid telephone service providers in United States. I was upskilled to work for Safelink, a government telephone subsidy for the less privileged in the country, because of my exemplary performance during the early part of my stay with the company. In my 3 years and 1 month employment with Qualfon, I assumed various positions including IT Toss Support, Number Portability Specialist for AT&T & Verizon and ultimately, Tier 3 KANA E-Mail respondent.

After Qualfon, I worked with two other Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) companies–Convergys and Stream. Back then, Sprint was the biggest account of Convergys and luckily, I was profiled to work with them. I had my first experience as a Payroll Specialist when I worked with Stream, which was then acquired by Convergys few months after my admission to the company. Intuit Online Payroll is a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) payroll service for small and medium businesses in the US. I assist the clients with the set-up, troubleshooting, tax form corrections and submissions and with the proper computation of their employees’ payroll.

My first actual sales experience was with Author Solutions Incorporated (ASI), a self-publishing company with a headquarter in Indiana. I worked as a Publishing Consultant with them for 1 year and 3 months. I used to cold call Authors to offer them publishing, editing and advertising packages. I had the same function when I worked with E-Fox Solutions, under the imprint BookVenture Publishing; I’ve worked with them for 1 year and 5 months.

My last employment was with Informa Global Incorporated, previously Book-Art Press Solutions. I started as a Publishing Consultant with them and was asked to join the Fulfillment Department few months later. I was the only employee of the company who assumed 6 different positions: Publishing Consultant, Publishing Fulfillment Officer, Senior Marketing Fulfillment Officer, Refund/Retention Specialist and lastly, Sales Trainer. I stayed with them for 2 years and 8 months.
