Emmanuel Baltazar – Business Success Manager

I am Emmanuel Baltazar, you can call me Ohwell or Emman. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce majoring in Human Resource Management at the University of Regina Carmeli in 2009. I am an only child of a retired public school teacher and a former OFW. As a child, I have always dreamt of having a big family of my own since growing up, I didn’t have any siblings with whom I could play. Though my parents made sure that they’d be able to provide all the things I needed, as a child, there wasn’t anything better than having playmates at home.

Back in college, I had my on-the-job training in Singapore as a sales executive for Zara Boutique for six months, together with my other classmates and schoolmates. This experience has taught me to be independent and do things on my own. I learned a lot from this experience of mine, both academically and personally. I will never trade this on-the-job experience for any other things in the world. I have learned to go out of my comfort zone and ready myself to conquer my biggest fears in life.

After I graduated from college, I then started working in the BPO industry. I have a total of 5 years of call center experience, and this has developed impeccable phone manners, and an ability to deal with agitated or distressed customers. Through this, I learned to be accustomed to working on multiple projects simultaneously and to offer new ideas to help the company grow and surpass all goals and objectives. Through hard work, discipline, and determination, I was promoted to the position of subject matter expert and won awards and recognition from the company. At the last BPO company I worked with, I was hired as a product trainer, which has given me the ability to give back to the BPO industry and help and inspire new hires to excel in this industry.

In 2015, a very good opportunity to work abroad came my way when a friend invited me to work as a casino dealer on the border of Myanmar and Thailand. I started as a trainee, then moved up to be a full-time dealer, and after a year, I was promoted to an inspector position and later on was promoted as the only Filipino trainer in the casino. However, in 2016, the biggest heartbreak of my life happened when my mom died due to cancer. As an only child and a confessed Mama’s boy, it was the most devastating thing that ever happened in my life.

Fast forward to December 2019, I made the big decision of resigning from work and moving back to the Philippines for good to be with my dad. That’s when I decided to just completely stay at home and work full-time as a freelancer to be with my dad all the time. Until now, I have been very much enjoying the freelancing world. Being able to provide for my family and at the same time be able to be with them every day is a dream that has long been granted for me. I couldn’t think of a better job than doing it at home while still being able to support my family’s needs and wants.

I am looking forward to discussing more about my experiences, both professional and personal, and my awesome personality with you, should I be given the chance to move forward.
